|
|
Not much of a request, but the summer compo brought this little irritant to the forefront of my memory.
When a screenshot is taken from within DeleD, it Always opens the deled root folder. I would like it to remember where I placed my last image as that is most likely where my Next image is going to go.
Thanks. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

We use the default behaviour of the Windows save dialog for this. I'm not exactly sure on the gritty details (will look into me when I'm back at my development machine), but for me, the dialog seems to properly remember the last selected directory in Windows 2000, Windows XP (same version as you are running) and when running Vista.
Of course we could just ignore the standard behaviour and slap our own behaviour on top of it. |

Deleds save feature remembers the last folder saved. It's only the screenshot function that doesn't.
If I use "saveAs" in any program, it goes directly to myDocuments. (with ecception of the screenshot save) _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Not here. If it reverts to a folder each session, can you tell me to what folder? My Documents?

That's even weirder. Internally those two are the exact same call.
MSDN must have this documented somewhere. Will sort it out. |

DeleD Pro's folder.
I save to C:\users\David\Desktop\ |
While taking the screenshots for the summer compo, I save in "MyDocuments/deled/beach/" but have to manually switch to that folder with each screenshot.
My dxs is saved in "c:\programFiles\DeledPro\maps\3dc\beach". If I make a new object and save it, (starting with new project) and I want it in a different folder than the beach one, I have to change it becouse deled remembers where I saved my last map file and automatically goes to that folder.
Something Must be different in the way the two save or they would work exactly the same way. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.

Are you using SAVE AS instead of Just Save? Because I almost never see the save dialog unless I have a new scene, which is rare. _________________

I always use save unless I want to backup what I'm doing before making major changes, then, I use saveAs so I keep the original.
For screenshots, I just click save. I just looked at the screenshot save dialog, and it opens saveAs instead of save. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
