Hey question, can deled do normal mapping? I'm still stuck on the light version so wasnt sure if the pro can or not?
If it cant, can you please move this post to the "DeleD Feature Requests" ^^:
I think this would help bring new life to a model and give short cuts to the modeling process. For example to some that dont know what normal mapping looks like.

no DeleD cannot do normal mapping, neither lite nor pro
the image you show is not normalmapping but displacement mapping, I asked this a long long time ago once, however most of the people here on the forum don't even know how a normal map looks or how you can make one, so I guess the priority is not that high. _________________ Chickens RULE | www.elementrix.nl |

The only advantage of having the option in deled is to see how things look in real time (whether or not you're making a level or object for a 3rd party rendering engine). Though it can be helpful having all that stuff properly tagged in your object file, if you have a custom pipeline or something |

I thought normalmapping was the same as displacement mapping by how the light hits the image and then the "colors" that are on em displaces the lights to "pop" the image out. I been trying to make a few for my map to "pop" some things out. But in the end it seems I'll need to also add "Also, if your model doesn't work, make sure you have binormals and tangents generated for it" Witch when I do my converting I find that I didnt have any. ^^:
