Ok, I'm new to these forums and to this engine so I have a few questions...
1) Are all landscapes made with the DeleD 3D Editor (Free Version) able to be used for commercial use? (Released Video Games)
2) Where do I download it? (Link please?)
3) Is it possible for DeleD to export to .BSP?
4) Does DeleD work for Visual C++? I'm using dark GDK, will they work together? (I know it might be hard to answer this question if you don't know what Dark GDK is so if you DON'T know then just leave it blank)
Thank you for your answers! |

1) I'm not sure.. I think so.
2) http://www.delgine.com/software/deled/downloads/deledlitesetup.exe
3) No, I don't think so.
4) What do you mean exactly? It's perfectly possible to load DeleD worlds in a program made with VC++ or any other programming language. You just need some code to load the data from the DXS and render it. |

Yes, DeleD (both LITE and PRO) is licence free, you can do anything you want with it. _________________ Behold! The DeleD Wiki! Please help us expanding it

So what formats can DeleD export to? Are there any plugins I should know about? Any small tips or tricks you can tell me? Seeing as how I'm a beginner anything would be appreciated |

Thanks to Fletcher and Chronoz for the excellent answers. I don't have anything to add really. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

The BSP Feature of DarkBASIC and DarkGDK is a toy, most people agree that its doesnt work well enough and is outdated. However, you can load levels as DBO files and do your own collision detection.
Try Sparky's collision detection DLL: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=74762&b=5
Thats what most people do! |
