Okay, I have loaded the Preloaded tank images as backgrounds to give DeleD a try as a 3D object modeler, but when I align a part, in this case a wheel, in the front and side view, the top view is oriented incorrectly, looks like 90 degrees off, but I am not sure if it is the image that is oriented incorrectly or the camera view, but the two axii in the 2D viewports do not correspond with the direction the image(s) are turned. I have attached an image, I hope. Can anyone "steer" me in the right direction? Sorry about the pun, I couldn't resist Very Happy

Your Top image is the wrong orientation, nothing to do with DeleD.. look at the position of the wheel in relationship to the grid, its in the correct position, leaving only your picture to be wrong. In the top viewport, right click and choose Background Image, modify, then rotate it through 90 degrees, until its right Smile

I decided to use GIMP 2 to rotate the image and reload it. Thanks again for your help!

Unfortunatly at moment you cannot rotate background images. you need to do as you have done.
If you rotated top image 90 degrees clockwise you will find the front image is mirrored just something to be aware of. Very Happy You could always use gimp to mirror image to correct this.
