|
|
I´m using DeleD 2.45 CE in my notebook Win7 Ultimate. I have had some troubles when i try to use some plugins and create some prefab mesh on the screen. (I checked the Prefabs folder in DeleD root, all the meshes are there)
When i click in any prefab in the Create/Edit menu, the error "Acess Violation at Adress 0000000" is shown in thousands
of thousands of error boxes. When i close one, other appears saying the same thing, so i have to close de DeleD using the Task Manager.
In the plugins case, when i tried to use the ObjectPlacer plugin, it return the same error above and say a message where probably would stay the 3D viewer: "If You Can See This Mesage, Something Gone Wrong =("
Somebody know how to fix it? |

Hey there Jeff, and welcome to the forums!
About the prefabs error: does that happen with all prefabs or just some of them?
Also, can you place normal primitives in the scene and assign materials to them?
Don't know about the ObjectPlacer plugin, as I didn't write that one. A user called Mr. Fletcher here on these forums created that particular plugin. Perhaps you can contact him for assistance? _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

As a benchmark, I use win 7 64bit Ultimate/Enterprise, and DeleD runs fine, including all the plugins. I do however have installed .NET 2 and 4, along with a wide selection of VB stuff.
I would suggest that you check your graphics drivers for the latest ones. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.

.NET is not needed for DeleD, as it is written in Delphi.
Checking for the latest drivers is always a Good Thing! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Yes, however, by installing .NET framework (which is always a good thing), this seems to lead to other elements being installed with other programmes, which leads to some 'bugs' being resolved, or never surface.
I seem to daily, be downloading and installing 'security' updates. One thing gets fixed, another breaks.
Graphics Drivers seems to go through phases. At one time ATI was king, until they couldn't get support for OpenGL to such a fine art as nVidia. It took more than a couple of years to resolve that issue. Graphic drivers are always my first port of call to update, whenever there is a bug. _________________ Politeness is priceless when received, cost nothing to own or give, yet some cannot afford.
