Thanks for your kind words Arcterran, and welcome to these forums! Very Happy

Small status update: we decided to switch to a much better website hoster we discovered recently. This means we need to setup our server all over again and make changes to our back-end code as well.

This will take an extra few weeks to accomplish. So this is a setback in terms of time, but we will end up with a faster server against lower costs + easier to maintain back-end code so it'll be worth it. Smile

That will be great. Glad you could find a cheaper, faster, easier solution. The wait will be worth it.

This is a natural progression, in fact some 10 years ago I was giving a seminar to several multi-national companies deeply involved within the industry, in a VR setting, forecasting the direction of many elements and threads of industry including how mobile phones will progress and unify both the OS and each programme (now called apps) across many platforms of communication.
Each blurring the boundaries and becoming transparent to the user, as there will be only a API handle installed for convenience of remote selecting the App of choice. Whether you have your TV, Media center, mobile comms device, even the ilks of your car will become 'smart'. Voice control will take over from keyboard and mouse.

Cloud computing is the 'glue' that makes this all happen. Before this was widely implemented, security and ownership had to be established, to cover the ilks of DMA etc, reaching into the realms of responsibility for kiddie P0Rn, banking and terrorist to name but a few.

By hosting your App, or indeed a OS, this way, means total control over updates, without the need for multi/uni-casting billions of terra bytes across the planet, and moreso, security. No more copyright theft, no more cracks and hacking.

I'll stop at this point, as none of you are paying me Smile, Hosting a programme using HTML5 is going down the right path to keep up with this evolving technology, as this 'format' is preferred for rendering internet hosted information across multi-platforms such as your smart phone, tv, PC etc...... well at least for the next 5 years Smile

Although Java has never lost its lack of security, the man that developed it, was thinking of this era, as its best attribute is its ability to transcend platforms.

Once you have this up and running, I'll 'test' it with one of my scenes lol.

Looking good though, can't wait.

Thanks guys. Smile

Dave: how about the new Connect Vertex tool? And have you tried grouping objects by dropping primitives on each other in the Scene Explorer?

AWM: that would be great! Will your scenes be stored in single OBJ files?

How about this one:

This Tie figher has a staggering 153067 polygons! Shocked DeleD is able to load and show the model, but working with it shows DeleD does need more speed improvements. Still, it's nice to see this is doable in DeleD Web Edition! Very Happy

I can't take credits for that model - it was downloaded for free from a 3D website. I use it to testdrive DeleD Web Edition, which is turning out pretty nicely. Smile

Certainly more polygons than I've tried in DeleD before, mainly because it became progressively harder to move the view and select anything. No doubt about it, its looking awesome.

I'm a touch off the grid atm, but looking forward to catching up soon.
