And to start the year with something fresh, here's a little preview about something I've been working on: DeleD Designer. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This motivates me to continue working on DeleD Web Edition.
@mrniceguy: I use Visual Studio 2013, Typescript, Web API's and WebGL to create DeleD Web Edition.
@granada: I'll focus on 3D modeling first, uv mapping next and possibly animation after that. No promises though.
@trucker: glad you like the grouping feature. And it's not even done! _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Very cool!
And yes, that grouping feature is heaven! Got 1337 objects in my current design, and it's getting a bit chaos (i laughed when i found out the final model as 1337 objects, it was not planned) |

Hmm..
Any chance you could create a primitive, then rotate it so that its UP matches the tilt of the 0 in 2015?
And I don't mean eyeballing it with the mouse.. I mean some kind of modifier where you can select primitive A and rotate it to match polygon B.
OR... let's say I have polygon A and primitive B. There is a polygon C on primitive B that I want to be rotated to be flush against polygon A. |

@Spaddlewit: absolutely, I can see DeleD Web Edition having possibilities like that for sure. Not in version 1.0 but sometime later, yeah!
First things first though: getting version 1.0 up and running. _________________ Check out Figuro, our online 3D app! More powerful 3D tools for free. |

Should have read this earlier...just saw this...
So since its running off a web server...how about support for import/export/extension plugins written in Python 2 or Python 3?
The importer I'm writing now is a C DLL that calls a Python 2 script...and goes back and forth to parse a Quake MD3. If the C DLL was taken out of the equation it would be so cool. I wrote the bulk of the parsing logic in Python to make the code portable to other projects.
I would suggest Python because it just makes code very much more human readable once you adjust to how concise a language it is. Plus once the environment is all set up all you've got to edit is a text file. No recompiling to make changes. Great in applications when performance is not the 1st priority. |
