DeleD Community Edition

The source files say the license is GNU GPL version 3. I guess that is the intended license.
However the COPYING.txt says: "The DeleD source is mainly covered by the GPLv2 license."
which should be fixed to "GPLv3".
The original announcement from 2009 does not mention a license at all.

It only says "open source".
Even the product's web page does not mention its license.

I think it should.
I found a mention of the license only in a wiki page:

which says "GNU General Public License".

I hope the DeleD authors understand what GNU GPL means in practice.
It has only one essential requirement: Modified source code must be published under the same license when binaries built from it are delivered.
It is quite simple and there are no further restrictions. The modified code can be sold, it can be turned into something very different, about-boxes and any branding can be removed or changed, no need to offer the changes back to original project for backporting ... but the sources must be published.

The code's license, in this case GNU GPL sets the rules even if the original authors don't care.
It means anybody who forks and modifies DeleD code and starts to deliver executables, must provide the sources even if the original authors don't explicitly tell him so.
However I hope the authors would enforce the rules and remind people of potential license violations when needed.
