Looks good! Could use a couple more leaves... but a lot of leaves adds a lot of polys. But very nice job. |

Yeah, great job. It's really nice to see people still trying to make trees by hand, not using some ready-made product. |

By the way, it needed 3 hours to make that tree and lightmap it. It was my second try to make a tree so it can´t be so perfect... |

Well, I think it's very nice and so I've put it in our gallery. Your object is also randomly displayed on our main site now. We do this to encourage people to create beautifull things in DeleD. |

I like it.
Did you post this, or something like it not long ago? It seems familiar. If not, someone posted something like this with a tree that didn't ook too different.
If you want to reduce the polycount, you use double sided planes, and texture the leaves into it (or in your case, the tiny branches that have the leaves, and the leaves) and then you put the planes along the bigger trunk and branch sections. It will look the same, as the leaves are mostly flat anyways.
Even the high detail 3d stuff does this that way. |

Hi Moergil. The tree looks great. However, Deled Pro will soon have alpha support, thanks to Pauls great efforts, so, trees will be easy to create when this becomes available.
Kind regards Brian. |

Well, I am not too sure about the "easy" part (but hey, you are the modelers, not me ), but it sure will save some polygons on the leaves |
