hi,
is there a possibility to switch the texture-projection from UVW-mapping to cuboid-mapping, sphere-mapping etc. like in cinema 4d and other 3d-applications ?
at the moment there are big texture faults.

thanks

Hi there typhon, and welcome! Smile

At the moment, DeleD supports planar mapping only. We realise this is not enough and will extend this functionality with a range of UV manipulation functions. This will take a while though. Rest assured, we will be working on it in the future.

oh that's a pity.

my problem is that i've got an exported *.3ds-file from cinema 4d with many triangles in the mesh. if i try to texture it, it looks something like this:

is there maybe a possibility to do it better ?
thanks

You can fix that in Deled if you know how to make use of it's current textureing quirks. Knowing when to toggle on and off AUTO UV and then sizing and moving, you can get good results.

If you have an x by x texture, it will fit perfectly on an x bx x surface with AutoUV on. Then you turn autoUV off, and you can place your shape and size it.

It really works pretty fast once you get used to the behaviour. I UVed a couch, some tables, some stools and a soda machine in less than five minutes.
