I was playing around with your test/free version and think that being able to select points (for editing) from the 'Textured' View would be incredibly useful. Trying to select the correct point in one of the 3 axis views is very hard if many overlap in the same small area. Being able to quickly rotate/move that view makes finding the desired points much simpler and doesnt require rotating/moving the axis views -- and thus the model in xyz space (which can disarange the cartesian system of the model). The points in that view are also only those visible from the facing view which cuts down the clutter. Another suggestion would be to add some kind of accelerators (10x) to the zoom/translation. The mousewheel is nice but I found it got tedious with some large/complex models." |
First of all, thanks very much for your feedback. It's texts like these that will help us enhance DeleD, which is the very main thing we want to do. However, please post them in the forum instead of the guestbook so we can discuss things. The forum is the place to be for things like this.
About point seletion in the 3D view: yes, it would be very useful to be able to select vertices on the 3D view. We already have this on our TODO list and since you, a user, are mentioning it also, it just got a higher priority in that list. We'll get to it!
An accelerator for zooming is already available: just use SHIFT+rightmouse to quickly zoom in/out. Read the Help file for more shortcuts. |
