Hi,
I am trying to make a roof for a hut model - which is thatch design. I wish to have the ends of the roof, show transparency, so that you can see jagged edges of that thatch texture. How can i do this in Dele D?
Sorry.. if that sounded confusing.. it is late when i posted this message... 3.19 in the morning to be precise....
Thanks

Hi Yetari (from GDNET right?)
I can help, but do you have a picture of the type of roof you want? You just need to construct a texture with the proper alpha. |

What Vampyre_Dark just said. Using a capable drawing program, create a texture with alpha values (giving the translucent parts an alpha of zero) and save it as TGA. Using the DeleD Material Editor, create a material for that texture and send blendmode of the layer to alpha blend. Then use it like any other texture |

Just make sure not to go directly from full alpha to 0 alpha. Do a nice transition, and it will come out much better. |
